Quality Policy

  • Certification services are designed around client needs and delivered in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way.
  • Services follow current standards and best practice and promote continual improvement.
  • Personnel are competent, impartial and committed to professional and ethical behaviour.
  • Robust processes ensure certification activities are consistent and reliable.
  • Certifications are monitored and reviewed so they stay valid over time.
  • Our services are communicated clearly to clients, personnel and accreditation bodies.

Personnel Policy

  • All certification personnel have the knowledge, skills and experience their role requires.
  • Personnel are impartial and free from conflicts of interest.
  • Ongoing training keeps personnel current in their field.
  • Personnel understand and respect their confidentiality obligations.
  • Everyone knows AMY's policies and their own roles and responsibilities.
  • Performance is reviewed regularly, with corrective action where needed.

Impartiality Policy

  • AMY is responsible for the impartiality of its certification activities and does not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise it.
  • Top management is committed to impartiality; risks to it are identified, managed and documented, including residual risk.
  • Certification is refused where a relationship poses an unacceptable threat to impartiality.
  • AMY does not certify the quality management system of another certification body.
  • AMY and its related bodies do not offer management system consultancy or internal audits to certified clients; a minimum two-year gap applies where such services were previously provided.
  • Audits are not outsourced to consultancy organizations, and AMY never suggests certification is easier, faster or cheaper through a particular consultant.
  • Personnel who consulted for a client are not used on that client's audits for at least two years, and all personnel must declare any conflict of interest.
  • Decisions are based on objective evidence, communicated transparently, and the policy is reviewed regularly.

Confidentiality Policy

  • All information obtained during certification activities, including client data and records, is kept confidential.
  • Personnel understand and meet their confidentiality obligations.
  • Sensitive information is protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
  • Information is disclosed only to authorized parties such as accreditation or regulatory bodies, where required by law or for certification.
  • Subcontractors and third-party providers are contractually bound to confidentiality.
  • This policy is reviewed and updated regularly.
